Mokokchung, August 29 (MTNews):The microbial waste management for conversion of organic wastes from the kitchen, agricultural and other bio-degradable wastes into nutrient rich compost using worm was conducted at Mongsenyimti village with some interest group of farmers on the 29th August.
A total of 21 participants will be undertaking this venture with assistance from Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Mokokchung under Swachhta Action Plan. To begin with this venture, the groups were given hdpe vermin-beds, other necessary inputs and worms.
The participants were further deliberated with the process and demonstrated on how to make vermicompost using locally available bio-resources in the homestead.
