The Health Centre, Nagaland University, Lumami, conducted the “Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan” at Lumami on 30th September 2025 with the objective of promoting the health and well-being of women and children.
The medical team was led by Dr. Sungkum Jamir, Senior Medical Officer, and included two nursing officers, a pharmacist, and other supporting staff.
Services provided during the camp included general health check-ups, screening for non-communicable diseases and anaemia, basic laboratory tests such as random blood sugar and HIV, and distribution of free medicines.
Awareness sessions on oral health, nutrition, menstrual hygiene, and immunization were also conducted during the camp.
