The District Health Society, Peren, conducted the Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar Abhiyan Special Camp at CHC Jalukie on September 23, 2025.
In his welcome address, Dr Nitovi Shikhu, SMO, CHC Jalukie, noted that the state and central government schemes introduced under this campaign are designed to empower women by ensuring access to quality healthcare and welfare benefits. He encouraged women to actively avail themselves of the services, emphasizing that these initiatives are not only for their personal well-being but also for the welfare of future generations.
The camp provided services under all vertical programs, including anemia and adolescent health screening, immunization, and screening for non-communicable diseases, tuberculosis, and vector-borne diseases. DISHA counseling and mental health support were also offered. Health services and medicines were provided free of cost to all patients. A total of 58 patients received services at the special camp. Laboratory investigations included dengue, scrub typhus, typhoid, malaria parasite (MP), CBC, KFT, urine analysis, Hb, and HIV tests. Gynecology services, X-rays, ultrasounds, ANC check-ups, and dental procedures were also provided.
The camp was led by Dr Nitovi Shikhu, SMO; Dr Ruokouvinuo Rachel; Dr Ningai Rentta, Obs & Gynea; DH, Peren; Dr Dwalie Zeliang; Dr Angukato Achumi, Surgeon; Dr K Ndang; Dr Michael Tetseo; Dr Gloria Thong, Dental; Dr Ramheigun; along with nurses, lab technicians, and vertical program staff.
A focus group discussion was conducted, and pamphlets and leaflets were distributed free of cost to participants.
