Delhi showcased their supremacy by delivering a commanding 8-wicket win against Nagaland on Thursday at the ongoing Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.

Winning the toss, Delhi opted to field first. Nagaland was put in to bat and were restricted to a total of 105 runs by the experienced Delhi bowling attack. Sedezhalie Rupreo led the scoring with 27 runs, while Joshua Ben Longkumer, Jonathan Rongsen, and Imliwati Lemtur chipped in with 12 runs each. Delhi’s star bowlers and IPL players, Suyash Sharma (KKR) and Navdeep Saini (RR), claimed two wickets apiece, while Shivank Vashisht, Lalit Yadav, and Dev Lakra each secured one wicket.

In the run chase, Delhi comfortably achieved victory with Yash Dhull being the top scorer with 41 runs, well-supported by Anuj Rawat, who contributed 37 runs. For the Nagaland team, Hopongkyu Sangtam and Imliwati were the only bowlers who managed to take a wicket each.

Nagaland’s next match is scheduled for 21 October against the UP team at the Abhimanyu Cricket Academy in Dehradun. Live coverage of the matches will be available on all Jio applications and the Sports 18 channel.
