SYSU organizes career guidance seminar for students in Sirhima

The Sirhima Youth and Students’ Organisation (SYSU) organised a one-day Career Guidance Seminar on October 5, 2025, at the Sunday School Chapel Hall, Sirhima, under Medziphema Sub-division. The event targeted students of Class 7 and above, as well as other aspirants from the village, and drew over 80 participants.

The seminar was moderated by Henlenlal Singson, Education Secretary of SYSU. Lamhaomang Singson, Information Assistant, Department of Information and Public Relations, Government of Nagaland, spoke on “Importance of Education and Time Management as a Student,” emphasizing that education unlocks opportunities while effective time management reduces stress and ensures balance.

Hoineichong Singson, Technical Assistant, Nagaland University, highlighted education as a privilege and discussed career opportunities in agriculture. Nengngainem Singson, Postal Assistant, Department of Posts, offered an overview of Staff Selection Commission examinations and preparation strategies. Seitinngam Singson, LDA, Department of Employment, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, briefed students on state-level competitive examinations.

The seminar concluded with an interactive Q&A session, allowing participants to clarify doubts and gain guidance. The event was well-received and marked a successful initiative by SYSU to guide and empower the youth of Sirhima Village.
