The Task Force for Music and Arts (TaFMA), Government of Nagaland, in collaboration with Sennheiser, successfully conducted a Masterclass on Microphone Technology today at Likya Community Hall, Wokha Town.
The program was chaired by Shri Mhademo Ennio, TaFMA District Partner and event coordinator. The session began with an invocation by Mr. C. Rushamo Tsopoe, music promoter, followed by a keynote address delivered by Shri Theja Meru, Chairman of TaFMA. In his address, Meru emphasized the importance of technical knowledge in enhancing sound production and overall performance quality.
The Masterclass featured Mr. Suman Thakur, Head – Technical Application Engineering at Sennheiser, as the resource person. He led an insightful session on microphone techniques, focusing on selection criteria based on application and the fundamentals of RF wireless microphones. Participants received a detailed presentation and live demonstration, gaining hands-on knowledge in sound capture, mic placement, and effective microphone use in various settings.
A total of 38 individuals—including musicians, sound technicians, and educators—attended the session. The event concluded with a benediction prayer offered by Mr. David Ngullie, Director and Proprietor of Bravo School of Music.
The Masterclass was held under TaFMA’s Skilling Nagaland initiative, which aims to build capacity and promote professional excellence among musicians and sound professionals across the state through partnerships with leading global brands.
