Mokokchung Battalion of the Assam Rifles organized a blood donation camp in collaboration with Blood Bank Lions Club, Jorhat and District Hospital, Mokokchung on 26 May. The aim was to collect and provide blood group units for critical patients, pregnant ladies and others who face difficulty managing rare blood groups at times of emergency.
Assam Rifles donated food items, stationary and articles of basic necessities including blankets to the orphan children of Mokokchung district on 25 May. “The act was appreciated by the local populace and extended their heartfelt gratitude to Assam Rifles,” an update received here from the 12 Assam Rifles said.
