Zunheboto, 27 July (MTNews): The Department of School Education in Zunheboto District has successfully authenticated and verified a total of 2024 teachers and employees for the Teachers Attendance Monitoring System (TAMS). The verification drive took place from 17th to 25th July, aiming to ensure transparency and accuracy in monitoring the attendance of teachers within the district.

The Teachers Attendance Monitoring System (TAMS) is an innovative initiative implemented by the Department of School Education to enhance accountability and improve the efficiency of the educational system. By digitizing the attendance tracking process, the system aims to reduce discrepancies and ensure that teachers are promptly attending schools and fulfilling their responsibilities.

 

The authentication and verification of teachers and employees for the Teachers Attendance Monitoring System (TAMS) is also ongoing in Mokokchung district.

 

Under NECTAR (Nagaland: Enhancing Classroom Teaching and Resources)Project, the Department of School Education will use facial recognition technology along with location and time stamping to monitor teachers attendance in all government schools across the state. The system is expected to go live in September 2023.
