The Department of Health and Youth Resources and Sports, Mokokchung, in collaboration with local institutions, organized a series of TB awareness programs and screenings in the district on 29 and 30 June, 2025.
The awareness program was held at Yajang C Baptist Church, aiming to educate the community about tuberculosis, its prevention, and treatment options. The event emphasized the importance of early detection and adherence to treatment. TB Awareness Campaign and Active Case Finding. A campaign was conducted at the 13 IR Battalion HQ Yajang C, focusing on active case finding and raising awareness about TB among the battalion personnel.
A sensitization program and screening were organized at the 25 NCC Battalion Mokokchung, targeting young cadets and promoting awareness about TB prevention and treatment.
The TB awareness campaigns aimed to educate the community about TB transmission, symptoms, and treatment options; Dispel common myths and misconceptions about the disease; Emphasize the importance of early diagnosis and adherence to treatment; and Promote community participation in TB eradication efforts.
The programs were attended by community members, NCC cadets, and battalion personnel.
Experts provided comprehensive insights into TB prevention, treatment, and management. The events highlighted the critical role of awareness and community engagement in combating TB.
