Advisor for Transport and Technical Education, Temjenmenba, stated that sports embody the celebration of the human spirit, friendship, and mutual respect.

He made these remarks while inaugurating the 33rd meet of the Northern Angami Youth & Sports Association (NAYSA) Group-D at Botsa & Tsiemekhuma Basa Ground on January 21. The sports meet will continue until January 24.

The Advisor encouraged the players, representing 12 villages at the event, to strive for excellence and aim to represent Nagaland on larger platforms. He urged them to become ambassadors of Naga culture, unity, and positivity. Temjenmenba also emphasized the importance of prioritizing one’s identity as a Naga over tribal affiliations, noting that reversing this order hinders efforts to unite the Naga community.

The valedictory function is scheduled for January 24, with Neizolie Rüpreo, Former President of NAYO, as the special guest.
