Terra Verde, an immersive art exhibition celebrating the beauty of the earth and its landscapes, commenced today at the Centre of Excellence for Music and Arts (CEMA).

Organized by Local Colors and supported by the Task Force for Music & Arts (TaFMA), the event was graced by Y Anthony Ngullie, Commissioner & Secretary of the Youth Resources & Sports Department, as the Special Guest.
Addressing the gathering, Ngullie highlighted various initiatives undertaken by the Youth Resources & Sports (YRS) Department, including the success of e-gaming. He lauded TaFMA under the leadership of Chairman Theja Meru, commending its efforts in promoting music and arts in the state.
Expressing gratitude to Nagaland’s Chief Minister, Neiphiu Rio, for his visionary leadership, he acknowledged the numerous youth-empowering activities being carried out across Nagaland.
Speaking on the theme Terra Verde, which translates to “Green Land,” Ngullie emphasized the importance of preserving Nagaland’s rich natural beauty and urged people to take conscious steps toward environmental conservation.
He further applauded the artists for their creative expression and wished them success in their artistic endeavors.
On behalf of Local Colors, Mhasitono Kennea addressed the gathering, thanking the Government of Nagaland and TaFMA for their continued support. She shared Local Colors’ collective vision of taking Nagaland’s artistic talent to a global stage.
TaFMA Project Director Dr. Hovithal Sothu delivered the welcome address, while TaFMA Chairman Theja Meru introduced Terra Verde to the audience.
He commended the artists for their creativity and dedication, stating that exhibitions like Terra Verde provide a vital platform for artistic expression and growth. He reaffirmed TaFMA’s commitment to supporting Nagaland’s artists and encouraged the public to appreciate and invest in their work. He also expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister for his unwavering support in fostering the growth of the music and arts sector in the state.
Vizokhoto George Kirha, Councillor of Ward No. 14, attended the event and extended his support to the exhibition. Together with the Special Guest, he unveiled the exhibition, marking the official commencement of Terra Verde.
The event also featured a special musical performance by Keduo Kire, TaFMA Mipro Artist of Kohima, adding to the artistic ambiance of the occasion.
The exhibition will be open to the public from February 25 to 28, from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM at CEMA, Minister’s Hill, Kohima.
