The Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Kohima has granted special permission to D2R Films LLP, based in Mumbai, to shoot scenes for the upcoming series, The Family Man-3, which will be available on Amazon Prime. The filming will take place from September 1 to October 1, 2024, across various locations in Kohima.


As per the notification, the production crew, comprising 400 members and about 80 vehicles, will be shooting in the following locations: Old DC Bungalow, Kohima; Forest Colony, Kohima; Kisama Heritage Village, Kohima; Areas within Kohima Municipal Council; Khonoma Village; Jakhama Village; and Jotsoma Village

The DC’s office has laid out specific conditions to ensure that filming does not disrupt public life. The production team is required to obtain a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from relevant departments, management, and village councils in the areas where filming will take place. Additionally, filming must not interfere with traffic or public order and must be restricted to permissible areas and times.

The production unit will be held responsible for any damage to public property during the filming process. Failure to comply with these conditions may result in the immediate cancellation of the filming permit without prior notice.

The Family Man is an Indian Hindi-language spy fiction television series created by Raj & DK for the streaming service Amazon Prime Video and features Manoj Bajpayee. Amazon announced the third season began shooting in May 2024.

The Family Man has received eleven Filmfare OTT Awards, five Asian Academy Creative Awards and two awards at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne.
