The Play Café was officially dedicated on Thursday evening in a small ceremony, attended by friends and family of Limaonen Imchen and his wife Hannah. The town’s newest addition, The Play Café, a first-of-its-kind concept, has become a beacon of excitement for children and parents ever since news of its opening was revealed.

The dedication ceremony took place at the café’s location, near the Indian Oil area, where Pastor Yanglo of Mokokchung Town Baptist Church (MTBA) dedicated the café with a prayer.

Erik, Youth Pastor of Victoria Baptist Church in Eastbourne, England, and formerly Hannah’s youth pastor, delivered a message from their church back in England emphasizing the power of turning dreams into reality. He stated, “If you will it, it is no longer a dream, but if you do not will it, it will only remain a dream.” He praised Hanna Imchen for transforming her dream into a tangible asset for the community, marking the beginning of a new dream for everyone involved.

Erik expressed his hope that The Play Café would serve as more than just a play area; it would become a space for people to connect with each other and their culture. He envisioned the café as a hub for meaningful celebrations and a source of inspiration for young people, instilling values of kindness and godliness.

Hannah Imchen, co-founder of The Play Café, while sharing information about the café’s operations, mentioned that the entry fee has been set at Rs 100 per head per hour, a nominal charge kept as low as possible to cover staff salaries and upkeep and ensure accessibility for all.

The Play Café is open from 2 PM to 7 PM from Monday to Friday and from 11 AM to 7 PM on Saturdays and holidays. With a staff of three, the café not only provides children with a fun and secure environment but also offers parents or guardians a peaceful space to wait and relax. The café features a selection of beverages and snacks for the parents as well as the children.

Moreover, The Play Café welcomes school field trips and group activities and can be pre-booked on an hourly basis. For bookings and inquiries, Hannah Imchen can be reached at +919378119582
