Thenyizu, 22 December (MTNews): The Thenyizu Baptist Church successfully hosted a two-day Women’s Convention, culminating today under the theme, “The Strength of a Godly Woman.” The event witnessed the participation of women from Kohima, Dimapur, Chetheba, Utauliko, and the local church, creating a transformative and enriching gathering.

According to a press release from the organizing committee, the objective of the convention was to strengthen the bonds within the Thenyizumi community, foster collective growth and progress in all spheres of life, and uphold the integrity and identity of Thenyizumi.

The convention featured renowned speakers, including Dr Adela Mero from Rainbow Academy and Resource Centre, Dimapur, and Vepalü Dawhuo, a Counseling Psychologist.

In her address, Dr. Mero urged mothers to teach their children about God’s unwavering presence and faithfulness. “God has never forsaken us,” she said, encouraging parents to share testimonies of His blessings with their children to help them grow in faith. She emphasized the importance of putting Biblical teachings into practice, stating, “We read the Bible, but we must start doing what is written in it.” She also highlighted the need for reverence in worship, adding, “We often prepare our best to meet important people, but we should show the same energy and respect when coming to church to worship God.”

Vepalü Dawhuo inspired attendees to build their lives on a foundation of unshakable faith, urging women to embody godly character and strength to overcome challenges.

The convention also included workshops addressing key aspects of personal and community well-being. Dr. Vezhokholü Losou delivered an insightful session on the “Importance of Health and Hygiene,” encouraging participants to prioritize their physical and mental health.

In her greetings, Vahina Thisa highlighted the strength of godly women and their vital role in building faith within their families and communities. She urged women to reflect God’s teachings through their actions and inspire future generations by nurturing their spiritual growth.

The Thenyizu Baptist Church Women’s Convention not only celebrated the strength of godly women but also equipped attendees with the tools and inspiration to lead lives rooted in faith and service.
