After an eight-year hiatus, 34-year-old Thepukhoyi Swuro is set to make his return to the wrestling arena. He will be competing in the Men’s Open Category of the 15th Naga Wrestling Championship organized by the Nagaland Wrestling Association. His most notable achievement came in 2014 when he secured 4th position in the Naga Wrestling Championship.

Swuro stated that his return is driven by a desire to inspire the younger generation to take traditional wrestling more seriously. He also added that this will be his final appearance, marking it as his official retirement match.
