Mokokchung, 7 September (MTNews): Three young players from Mokokchung are representing the state of Nagaland at the National Junior Badminton Championship 2023 for under 19 years boys and girls in Bengaluru. They are the only players from Nagaland competing in the championship.
Wapangmeren A Jamir will be competing in the Boys’ Singles category while Arenchila and Sunepbenla A Imchen will be competing in the Girls’ Singles and Doubles category. The Team Championship of the Nationals will be played on 7 and 8 September while the individual open championship will be held from 9 to 12 September at Karnataka Badminton Association (KBA) Stadium, Vasanthnagar, Bangalore.
The championship is being organized by the Karnataka Badminton Association (KBA) under the aegis of the Badminton Association of India (BAI).
