Throttle Thrust VI concludes; 2nd North-East Championship final results tallied

Throttle Thrust VI, organized by Spearhead Motorsport Initiative (SMI), concluded at Mangmetong village with Dr Watizulu Suzumeren Jamir, Chairman of the Development Authority of Nagaland, as the chief guest at the prize distribution session.

Celebrating their 10th anniversary, SMI President Meren Tzudir expressed gratitude to everyone who has supported the team. He remarked that over the past decade, they have not only built a club but also a family and encouraged the motorsport community to continue racing forward together.

In his speech, Dr Watizulu Suzumeren Jamir stated that sports bring people together without judgment or prejudice. He said that sports is one of the fastest-growing industries today, generating huge revenue across nations. He added that motorsports events are very thrilling yet risky and builds one’s self-confidence. He also appreciated Spearhead Motorsport Initiative for all the social works the club has done and acknowledged the club for bringing thrill and speed to Mangmetong village.

The results of the 2nd North-East Championship 2023-2024, which included two categories—SUV and Car—are as follows:

SUV Category

1. Champion: Ana Solo
2. First Runner-up: Lanusunep
3. Second Runner-up: Kamalesh Das
4. Third Runner-up: Andy Donald Mawrie
5. Fourth Runner-up: Among Jamir

Car Category

1. Champion: Kima Jamir
2. First Runner-up: Kamalesh Das & Lanusunep Jamir
3. Second Runner-up: Ana Solo
4. Third Runner-up: Andy Donald Mawrie
5. Fifth Runner-up: Tomito

The results of Throttle Thrust VI also included three special categories:

• Fastest timing in Stage 1: Thezieu Kire
• Fastest timing in Stage 2: Kima Jamir
• Throttle Titans (team with the most participants): Awarded to Adventure and Motorsport Association Mokokchung (AMAM), with 8 participants.
