The ‘Tiranga Yatra’, a nationwide program to encourage a sense of national pride and unity among the citizens of India, and to show solidarity and honour the courage and sacrifices of the Indian Armed Forces in safeguarding the nation, was held in Mokokchung district with pride and enthusiasm today.

Advisor for IPR and Soil & Water Conservation, Imkong L. Imchen, addressing participants and citizens at the Main Police Point, Mokokchung, during the culmination program of the Tiranga Yatra on May 31.

Addressing the participants and citizens of the district after the culmination of the Yatra at Main Police Point, Mokokchung, Advisor for the Department of Information & Public Relations and Soil & Water Conservation, Government of Nagaland, Imkong L Imchen, condemned the Pahalgam terror attack and Pakistan’s state-sponsored terrorism. He said that India stood as a strong and mature nation, responding through ‘Operation Sindoor’, which showcased the nation’s strength and unity. On the occasion, he also saluted the services and sacrifices of the Indian Armed Forces for protecting and safeguarding the great Indian nation.

Earlier, the Yatra commenced from Imkongmeren Sports Complex with an opening prayer by Rev Wati, Associate Pastor of MTBA, invoking blessings for the Yatra and the nation. The procession was led by the Ex-Servicemen League, Mokokchung, and saw participation from all walks of life, accompanied by slogans, banners, and national flags.
