The Junior Engineer (Electrical) of Tizit, Er James K Ramchem, has issued a circular addressing concerns regarding the overuse of electricity by heavy consumers operating machinery beyond permissible hours. The circular highlights the negative impact of such practices, which include line damage, transformer overloading, and unstable power supply to the general public.
Er Ramchem has specifically urged all workshops, fabrication units, mills, and similar heavy consumers to adhere to strict working hours. During the summer, the designated working hours are from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, while in the winter months, the working hours are reduced to 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
Failure to comply with these regulations will result in penalties, including fines or the possibility of being barred from receiving further load sanctions, as deemed appropriate by the competent authority.
