The top four finalists for the Naga Chef Title have been revealed. These individuals will compete in the Naga Chef Season 10, a culinary competition set to take place in Kisama during the 2023 Hornbill Festival.

The finalists who have successfully made it to this stage are Kazusangba Jamir, Lucy Tungoe, Paotinsen Kuki, and Yashimenla Longkumer.

The Naga Chef Season 10 competitions commenced on November 16, 2023 at the State Institute of Hotel Management (SIHM). Fourteen participants were carefully selected from a pool of 21 applicants to showcase their culinary prowess. Over the past week, the contestants engaged in six competitions, demonstrating their creative skills by preparing dishes ranging from starters to mains and desserts, using only indigenous ingredients.

A diverse array of ingredients, sourced from local markets and villages, was made available to participants, offering them the freedom to showcase their culinary creativity.

A distinguished panel of judges presided over the competition, including Chef Indranil Roychoudhury (Principal of SIHM), Nuneseno Chase (Director of Youth Net), Sentila T. Yanger (Social Entrepreneur and State Convenor of INTACH), Alemjungla Jamir (Founder of Naga Bowl Express), and Chef Loni Khing.

The dishes were evaluated based on key parameters such as Taste, Authenticity, Presentation, and the cook’s Food Knowledge.

As the anticipation builds, these finalists are set to compete for the prestigious Naga Chef Title at the grand finale during the Hornbill Festival. Stay tuned for the thrilling conclusion of Naga Chef Season 10.
