Kohima, March 17 (MTNews): The State Election Commission of Nagaland, Kohima conducted a training program for the Returning Officers and Assistant Returning Officers for the upcoming election to Municipal / Town Councils 2023 at DPDB Hall, Kohima on 17 March, 2023.
The Commissioner and State Election Commission Nagaland, T Mhabemo Yanthan, highlighted on training on legal aspects like nomination, scrutiny, drawing up of list of validly nominated candidates, and poll day preparation. Counting and result declaration were highlighted and explained by the Master Trainers from CEO’s Office, Nagaland, Kohima.
During the 2nd session, Joint Commissioner & Addl. Secretary, Commissioner’s Office Nagaland, Kohima, L Jamithung Lotha interacted with the trainees. Hands on training (ballot box) were done amongst the ROs and AROs.
The training program was attended by ADCs, SDO(C) and EACs from across the state. Moderator of the day’s program was Under Secretary, SEC, Tsutsowe Kupa.
