A one-day training on Archival Records Management was conducted at Benreu village, Peren, organized by the Art & Culture Department, Nagaland, on March 28, 2025. The resource persons for the training were Lanukaba Imchen, Research Officer, Art & Culture Department, and Thonyi Krocha, Record Keeper.
During the session, the resource persons emphasized the importance of archiving documents and explained how significant records or documents can be archived and stored in a proper and systematic manner. They also provided inputs to the trainees on safely maintaining and improving the archiving of church and village records in a more structured way.
The training was attended by village council members, church leaders, and others. As part of the practical session, the resource persons visited the church archive section, where they provided further suggestions for improving archival management.
Assistant Director, Art & Culture, Peihau Nsarangbe delivered the introductory speech, while Secretary of the Archive Committee, BBU, Suipeu Iheilung, pronounced the vote of thanks.
