Mokokchung, July 18 (MTNews): One-day training on implementation of Tobacco Free Educational Institutions (ToFEI) guidelines was conducted by District Tobacco Control Cell Mokokchung for teachers under the Department of School Education at CMO Conference Hall, Mokokchung on the 15th of July 2022. Representatives from 75 schools attended the training and registered in the ToFEI App to carry out the activities for declaration of Tobacco Free Educational Institutions.
Nukshiwati Longchar, district consultant DTCC welcomed all the participants and briefed about the basic guidelines and procedures through a PowerPoint presentation. The objective of the training was to generate awareness on the harmful effects of tobacco and to protect children from tobacco use.
