New veterinary office complex and hospital inaugurated in Tseminyu
The Office Complex of the Chief Veterinary Officer & Veterinary Hospital, Tseminyu, was inaugurated by Advisor of Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Services, Kazheto Kinimi, in the presence of MLA & Chairman DPDB Tseminyu, Jwenga Seb, and other officials at Tseminyu on 11 July 2024.
During the program, Advisor Kazheto Kinimi stated that the Department of Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Services takes immense pride in delivering the office complex to the people. He called on the community to take ownership and safeguard the infrastructure. He emphasized the potential of dairy farming in Nagaland, noting that it can provide gainful employment to various sections of society and make the State self-sufficient in milk production, egg production, poultry, livestock, and meat production.
Encouraging the people in dairy farming and livestock rearing, Kinimi said a veterinary hospital in a district will result in better care and health of the livestock and poultry, which in turn will translate to better productivity and income. He also appealed to the concerned authorities, public leaders, and citizens to cooperate and work with the department to make the hospital a success. The Advisor also congratulated the department, its engineering wing, the contractor, MLA Jwenga Seb, and former MLA & Advisor of the department, R. Khing, who initiated this project, for ensuring its completion.
The keynote address was delivered by Director of Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Services, Dr. Achila Ao, and short speeches were delivered by MLA Jwenga Seb and DC Tseminyu, Rohit Singh, IAS. The program was chaired by Dr. Gwathonlo Tsela, VAS Tseminyu, while words of gratitude were shared by Dr. Kenalo Kath, in charge of CVO, Tseminyu. Kazheto Kinimi said that this newest and youngest district of the state will lead the way for other districts to follow.
