The Tsiesema Village Multipurpose-Cum-Badminton Hall was inaugurated on Saturday (14 December) at the Tsiesema Local Ground under Kohima district.

It was constructed under the Local Area Development Programme (LADP) 2023-24 as an iconic project and inaugurated by Vibeilietuo Kets, Special Assistant to the Chief Minister of Nagaland.

Speaking on the occasion, Kets thanked Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio for creating numerous assets through LADP within the Northern Angami-II Assembly Constituency. He noted that, apart from hosting indoor games, the hall will also facilitate social gatherings, workshops, seminars, and serve as an important centre for fostering unity and peace within the community.

Kets called upon the public to take care of the government-created assets and maximize their benefits.

Highlighting the project report, Kechalhoubei Talie informed that this iconic project was constructed at a cost of ₹57.20 lakh.

The programme was chaired by Mhalelhou Mere, while Keneingulie Mere, Pastor of Tsiesema Baptist Church, invoked God’s blessings. Zapuvi Mere, GB, delivered the welcome address, and the CYE, CRC Tsiesema, performed a special song. The vote of thanks was proposed by Tsiesema Village Council Chairman Khrielezo Khro.
