Tuli, June 24 (MTNews): On June 23, the Mokokchung police personnel of Tuli Police Station conducted a raid at a piggery farm in the 10th mile area of Tuli and discovered an illicit liquor adulteration and bottling facility.

According to sources, there were 86 cases of adulterated MC Rum, 2 distillery barrels, empty bottles, caps, and rum flavoring and coloring additives.

 

“86 cases of IMFL MC Rum wrapped in jute bags, two containers of methanol spirit, two distillery barrels, six bags of bottle caps, two empty bags, and one gallon of rum flavoring” were found at the piggery farm, according to the SDPO, Tuli. The police officer assumed that the adulteration unit may be recently established, speculating that it might just be a week old or so.

 

A person, identified as Imtichuba (35), presently residing at Windy Ward, Changtongya has been detained by the police. However, the owner of the piggery farm is still absconding, police sources said.

A case has been registered at Tuli Police Station and further investigation is on, sources said.
