Mokokchung, March 26 (MTNews): A two day training on capacity building for women SHGs started today at Penli Ward Community Hall on 26 March 2022. The training is an initiative of City Level Federation, Mokokchung, under the aegis of District Urban Development Agency, Mokokchung, Government of Nagaland.
The first day of the program witnessed resource persons, Asangla, Asst. Prof. FAC speaking on Garbage to Gold “Up cycled Creation”, T. Arenla, YWCA Project co-ordinator, speaking on “Cutting and stitching” and Dr. Imchalemla, Horticulture Department, speaking on “Mushroom cultivation.”
The program was chaired by Achila Imsong, president, City Level Federation (CLF).
Day 1 of the seminar was attended by 8 wards, wherein 2 members each from 63 SHGs were present.
Day 2 of the seminar is tentatively scheduled to be held on the 1st week of April.
There are currently 130 SHGs from the 16 wards in Mokokchung Town.
