The Two Wheeler Taxi Service was officially launched at the Deputy Commissioner’s Office, Peren, on October 15, 2025.
Deputy Commissioner Hiazu Meru highlighted that the service aims to address transportation challenges, reduce congestion, and provide an accessible, economical mode of travel while creating new earning opportunities. He urged drivers to use helmets and treat passengers with courtesy to uphold the district’s image.
The programme was presided over by EAC Kum Mhashumi T. Ezung. Haudibe spoke on behalf of taxi drivers, Fellowship Pastor Nlumbui offered a dedicatory prayer, and Centre Manager Kum Heusuizailie proposed the vote of thanks.
