UEFA has postponed all matches scheduled in Israel in the next two weeks due to the deteriorating security situation in the country.

The European football governing body said that Israel’s Euro 2024 qualifier against Switzerland on Thursday, as well as the UEFA European Under-21 2025 qualifiers involving Israel, Estonia, and Germany, and the UEFA European Under-17 Championship 2024 matches involving Israel, Belgium, Gibraltar, and Wales have all been postponed.

UEFA added that it will take a few more days to assess whether the European qualifiers match between Israel and Kosovo, scheduled to take place in Kosovo on 15 October, can proceed as planned.

“UEFA will continue to closely monitor the situation and will remain in contact with all teams involved before making decisions on new dates and on potential changes to other upcoming fixtures,” UEFA said in a statement.

In light of the current security situation in Israel, UEFA has decided to postpone several matches scheduled to be played in the country.

New dates will be confirmed in due course. More details: ⬇️

The postponement of the matches comes after a series of rocket attacks by Palestinian militants in Gaza on Israeli cities, and Israeli airstrikes on Gaza in response. The violence has claimed the lives of hundreds of people on both sides.
