Mokokchung, August 13 (MTNews): The Mokokchung Unit of the Unger Students’ Union hosted the first I. Chubawati Ao Educational Trust Award in the Mokokchung Town Unger Fellowship Hall on Saturday.
The Award, consisting of a monetary incentive and a certificate, is set to be given out yearly to students from Unger Village who study in Mokokchung Town and achieve high academic standing.
Unger Students’ Union, Mokokchung Unit established the I. Chubawati Ao Educational Trust Award to commemorate the student union’s 50th anniversary, and the name I. Chubawati Ao Educational Trust Award was chosen to honour the student union’s first Treasurer I. Chubawati Ao.
During the awards program, Rongsenzungla and Pangernungkum received the award for their outstanding achievements in HSLC and HSSLC, respectively.
Earlier, Imtisunep, Board of Trustee, gave a brief background on the inception of the award and Masa Imsong, President USTM exhorted the attendees while Imti, Convenor, Board of Trustee, felicitated the award recipients.
