In his address, Guest of Honour L Chubaonen lauded SSR Ungma for sustaining what he termed as one of the “greatest initiatives” for youth encouragement in the village. He attributed the achievers’ success to consistent hard work and discipline, and spoke on the contrast between a comfortable life and an uncomfortable one. Warning against complacency, he said that remaining in one’s comfort zone leads to stagnation while others move ahead. Citing examples of prominent personalities who faced repeated failures before succeeding, he remarked that comfort, though appealing at first, eventually becomes an addiction that hinders growth.

Season Star (SSR) Ungma, established in 1967 with ten members, is the second oldest club in Ungma village, functioning under the motto “For the greater glory of the youth.” Among its various social and community initiatives, the Academic Excellence & Achievers Award Programme remains one of its flagship activities, aimed at motivating the youth and village community to strive for higher goals and sustained excellence.
