Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will arrive in Nagaland on Thursday for a three-day visit to review the implementation of central schemes and participate in a series of official programmes across the state, according to a PTI report.
As per the schedule, Sitharaman will land at Dimapur airport and proceed to Kiphire, one of Nagaland’s aspirational districts, where she will review ongoing developmental projects and welfare initiatives. During her visit to Kiphire, she is expected to visit the district hospital, interact with tribal leaders and ‘Lakhpati Didis’ of the National Rural Livelihood Mission (NRLM), and chair a review meeting with departmental heads.

On Friday, the Finance Minister will interact with Anganwadi workers and take part in the ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat Sankalp Abhiyan’ at Hopongkyu Memorial Hall. She will also inaugurate the Government Industrial Training Institute (ITI) at Kiphire, launch NSRLM stalls and the credit outreach programme at the Government High School Ground, and interact with students.
Later in the day, Sitharaman will travel to Kohima to witness the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Telangana State Network (T-SAT) and the National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT). She will also launch the ‘SAMARTH’ and digital hardware initiatives and engage with students at NIELIT-Kohima.
On Saturday, the Finance Minister will inaugurate the Artificial Intelligence (AI) Centre of Excellence for Skilling at the Nagaland Tool Room & Training Centre (NTTC) in Dimapur. Her visit will conclude with a review of the Scheme for Special Assistance to States for Capital Investment (SASCI) at Niathu Resort, Dimapur, before departing for New Delhi.
