Union Minister of Tribal Affairs Jual Oram is on a three-day visit to Nagaland starting today. Upon his arrival, the Union Minister called on Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio at his private residence in Sovima. On behalf of the people of Nagaland, Rio expressed gratitude for the minister’s visit and his continued support for the state. He wished the Union Minister a pleasant stay.

The Union Minister also visited the Durga Temple in Dimapur, where he offered prayers to Maa Durga. Speaking exclusively to Akashvani News Kohima, Oram provided details about his meeting with Chief Minister Rio, stating that they discussed various developmental works within the state. He also mentioned discussions regarding the fund utilization of the Eklavya Model Residential School.

Later, he met with the Marwari Samaj. Oram will visit Zunheboto tomorrow, where he will meet with the district administration and other departmental officers to review various central government schemes implemented in the district.
