Union Minister of State for Environment, Forest and Climate Change & External Affairs, Kirti Vardhan Singh, arrived in Nagaland on 18 February 2025. Upon his arrival, he was received by Additional State Protocol Officer Meripeni Ngullie, the District Administration of Chumoukedima, and officials of the Forest Department.
Singh today said that Union Budget 2025-26 is a landmark budget and a milestone towards the country’s journey to becoming Aatmanirbhar Bharat and Vikshit Bharat. Singh also highlighted that this year’s budget has a special focus on raising farmer’s income, increasing the output of medium and small-scale industries, exports, employment, reducing poverty, among others. The Minister also held a meeting with officials from the state forest department.
As a state guest and part of his tour to the Northeastern states, he will be holding meetings and making visits during his stay in Nagaland.
