The United Sangtam Likhüm Pümji (USLP) has issued a strong condemnation regarding the brutal murder of ABC Soyimkumba Ao, a police officer with DEF Tuensang, who was allegedly killed by five individuals and the case has been “demonstrated as a suicide.”

In a statement, the USLP expressed that at a time when “every corner of the society yearns for peace and stability,” such “inhumane and barbaric acts” are “intolerable and should be condemned outrightly by all right-thinking citizens.”

The organization criticized the actions of the alleged perpetrators, describing them as “rusted minds and anti-societal elements.” The USLP acknowledged the “sincere and relentless efforts made by officers and security personnel of DEF Tuensang for cracking such a clueless case and apprehending the perpetrators.” It further appealed to law enforcement agencies to “punish the accused persons befittingly according to the law of the land,” asserting that “such inhumane perpetrators have no place to live in such a civilized society.”

The USLP extended its “deepest and profound sympathy to the bereaved family members of late ABC Soyimkumba Ao, friends, love and dear ones” and prayed for the departed soul to “rest in eternal peace.” The organization emphasizes the importance of unity in the face of such tragedies, calling on the community to stand together against violence and injustice.
