The United Sangtam Region (USR), GPRN/NSCN (U) during its periodic Region Meeting held in the first week of September 2024 deliberated on the issue of government and public importance in light of the anti-national activities, impersonation and maligning of the name of GPRN/NSCN (U) under its jurisdiction, the MIP of the group said in a press release on Saturday.
“Despite United Sangtam Region (USR), GPRN/NSCN (U) best efforts to uphold peace and tranquility in the Region, some individuals with vested interest are mobilizing and attempting to establish a new United Sangtam administrative Region taking the name of GPRN/NSCN (U),” it said.
Therefore, United Sangtam Region (USR), GPRN/NSCN (U) will not allow such activities in the Region and sternly warns that any individual/group(s) impersonating the nomenclature of GPRN/NSCN (U) and indulging in mobilization activities in the United Sangtam Region will be held solely accountable for any eventuality that results from disregarding this information,” it added.
Further, the United Sangtam Region (USR), GPRN/NSCN (U) reiterated their “firm and unwavering support to the collective leadership of Gen.(Retd.) MB Neokpao Konyak, President and Inno Alezo Venuh, Ato Kilonser.”
