The United Naga People’s Government/Naga National Council (UNPG/NNC) has officially dissolved its government to “amalgamate all Nagas and to bring about an honorable and speedy solution in line with the aspirations of the Naga people,” according to Tsaliba T. Sangtam, Ato Kilonser of the UNPG/NNC.

In a statement addressed to “all my countrymen and members of the media fraternity,” Sangtam said that “Kilo Kilonser and all Cabinet members of both the Civil and Naga Army Wings have, on 25th of November 2025, officially dissolved the Government of UNPG/NNC led by Kiviho Zhimomi, The President, and Tsaliba T Sangtam, The Ato Kilonser.”

He added that they “have unanimously resolved to join and extend full affirmation and support to the GPRN/NSCN Government.” The move, he said, “has been taken to expedite for an early Naga solution under the dynamic leaderships of Major (Retd.) R. M. Lotha, President GPRN/NSCN, and N Kitovi Zhimomi, Ato Kilonser GPRN/NSCN and Convener of the Working Committee (WC) Naga National Political Groups (NNPGs).”

Sangtam highlighted that Kitovi Zhimomi “is spear-heading the negotiation with the Government of India (GOI) on behalf of Naga people to bring the long-standing Indo-Naga political issue to a logical conclusion.”
