The United Sangtam Students’ Conference (USSC) held its Change of Guard Ceremony at Tutheze Village, Kiphire on Tuesday, where newly elected executives formally took charge.


Adekhing Sangtam was sworn in as the new President, succeeding Sethrongba Sangtam, who led the organization through his tenure. The event was attended by dignitaries, elders, student leaders, and well-wishers from across the region.

In his farewell speech, Sethrongba Sangtam thanked his team and supporters for their cooperation. He highlighted key achievements of USSC under his leadership, including efforts to promote education, preserve culture, and strengthen unity within the Sangtam community.

Taking office, Adekhing Sangtam acknowledged his predecessor’s contributions and pledged to carry forward the organization’s objectives. He stressed the need to empower youth, expand educational initiatives, and safeguard the community’s cultural heritage.
