Vacation Bible School teachers’ training organized by ABAM Education and Literature Ministry was successfully held at Impur on 30 & 31 March 2022. The theme of the training was “Monumental” which was taken with due permission from Group Publishing India.
ABAM in a press note said that VBS has been a very rich tool for the churches in inculcating the gospel to the children as it provides enough spaces for learning and entertainment.
“The part of the teachers in VBS stands very crucial as they play the part of the bridge between God and the children. Having perceived the importance of the teachers, this training was organized so that the full strength of VBS can be adequately used by all the churches,” it further said.
Rev. Dr. Mar Pongener, Executive Secretary, ABAM during the exhortation said that, in such an age where children’s intelligence quotient is very high, “teachers need to be dedicated and well informed to tackle the challenging task which otherwise will mislead our young generation.”
Reflecting on II Corinthians 9:8, he said, “we work for the one who is able for everything, and knowing that we work under the abled power, may we all keep our trust and work with the tenacity of determination for God is able to bring glory for all our endeavors.”
The resource team during the training was the Dimapur Ao Baptist Church Christian Education Ministry. “ABAM expresses immense appreciation to DABA CEM for the selfless service rendered during the training,” the press note said, further adding that ABAM entreats that as the churches give importance to the development of children, “may God be the source of power and the redeemer of our generation.”
Altogether 345 delegates comprised of Associate Pastor Christian Education and teachers from 85 churches attended the training.
