Nagaland’s Vethozo Lohe became the World Arm Wrestling Champion in the ‘Below 78 kg’ category by defeating Georgian arm wrestler in the finals of the 2023 International Federation of Armwrestling (IFA) World Armwrestling Champion in Malaysia.
The 19-year old Vethozo from Phek represented India under the aegis of Board of Control for Armwrestling in India at the Championship.
Congratulating Vethozo, Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio said that he has made Nagaland and the country proud. Rio expressed hope that Vethozo will bring more laurels to the country in the future.
