The Vice President of India, CP Radhakrishnan, will undertake his first official visit to the North Eastern states of Nagaland, Mizoram, and Tripura from March 6 to 8, 2026.

On March 6, Radhakrishnan will grace the 8th Convocation of Nagaland University at Lumami, highlighting the central government’s focus on higher education in the state. The following day, he will be the Chief Guest at the 20th Convocation of Mizoram University in Aizawl, underscoring the importance of academic excellence in the region.

The Vice President’s visit will culminate in Tripura on March 8, where he will attend the 14th Convocation of Tripura University in Agartala. Later, he will visit Self-Help Group (SHG) stalls at the International Trade & Fair Centre, Hapania, interacting with women SHG members, including the renowned Lakhpati Didis, and showcasing initiatives that empower women and promote entrepreneurship.
