Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra extends reach to eight more villages in Nagaland

Mokokchung, 23 November (MTNews): Eight new villages were covered in the ongoing Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra for tribal locations in three districts of Nagaland, namely Dimapur, Tuensang, and Mokokchung today.

In Chumoukedima, the campaign was conducted at Aoyim, Samaguri, Ekhyo Yan, and Naga United village where a large number of people, mostly women, turned up to participate in the programs. The events started with government officials giving a brief account of VBSY and central welfare schemes, followed by the pledge-taking of ‘Hamara Sankalp Viksit Bharat’ by EAC Kihomong. Members of Self-Help Groups of the villages presented special songs and a skit play during the program. Drone experts also demonstrated drone technology and its usage for agricultural purposes before the villagers. Successful beneficiaries shared their personal accounts of how the schemes had benefited them, and they were also felicitated during the event. On-spot health checkups, registration for Ujjwala, and banking services were also provided to the villagers after the program.

The Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra events were held at Alisopur and Longkhitpe Village under Chare Block of Tuensang District today. EAC Kihomong, BDO cum BMM B Wakhoo Joorlym Konyak, and Nodal officer BBFCL Aicheng K were the dignitaries of the programs. Village chairmen of the two villages, village elders, womenfolk, and the general public came out in good numbers to attend the VBSY events.

In Mokokchung district, the campaign was organized at Mokokchung village and Chuchuyimpong village under Ongpangkong North block. There was a sizeable turnout of the public, and similar activities were conducted at the events.
