Mokokchung, 8 January (MTNews): Lieut General (Retd) VS Atem VC, Member of Collective Leadership of the NSCN-IM, was sworn in as the Deputy Ato Kilonser of the Government of the People’s Republic of Nagalim (NSCN/GPRN) at a “house packed oath taking ceremony” on Monday at Wungram Baptist Church, Dimapur.
“Oath of Allegiance and Secrecy was administered by His Excellency Q. Tuccu, Yaruiwo, GPRN,” an update from the MIP of NSCN/GPRN said.
VS Atem’s appointment as NSCN/GPRN Deputy Ato Kilonser was announced on 3 January 2024.
According to an order issued on 3 January by Q Tucco, Yaruiwo of the GPRN, the appointment was made on the advice of the Ato Kilonser and in consultation with the Collective Leadership “in view of national necessity and to further strengthen the administrative functioning of the Government.”
