Mokokchung, February 12
(MTNews): Eco Club, Fazl Ali College, in collaboration with WATSAN FAC Campus, conducted a hands-on training program at Cool Creek Boys Hostel, FAC, on the theme “Waste to Taste”, today, with Dr. Temjensangla Pongener as resource person, promoting kitchen garden in hostels as an “FAC green garden initiative.”
Another session was held at the college Conference Hall on the topic “Community Environment Audit,” an FAC Green Campus Initiative, hosted by Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), FAC in collaboration with WATS
AN FAC Campus. P Tiatemsu, Chairman, WATSAN, chaired the program with Chubala Yaden, Youth Mentor, Union Church offering prayer of the day. Dr. Temjenwabang, Principal, FAC, encouraged the gathering on the need for such collaborations from within the campus dwellers to work for the upliftment of the college and to actively participate in future activities organized by the college authority, especially with the NAAC Peer Team visit anticipated very soon. Dr. Lanurenla, Coordinator, IQAC FAC, gave a brief insight on the importance of NAAC and the need for “Green Audit and Green Policy” as part of the college activities undertaken. Dr. Temjensangla Pongener gave a talk on waste management and how waste can be managed. Practical hands-on training was conducted with the participants on collection and segregation of waste.
