Mokokchung, 2 June (MTNews): The Watsü Mungdang celebrated the successful completion of the Women Development Building with a thanksgiving session on Friday. The event took place at the office conference hall and was attended by the construction committee members who played a crucial role in the project’s realization.
President of Watsü Mungdang, S Arenla Longkumer, highlighted that the establishment of the Watsü Center for Women Development was a resolution made during the organization’s silver jubilee celebration held in April of 2007. This resolution has now come to fruition with the completion of the Women Development Building.
She further elaborated on the vision behind the building, emphasizing that it would enable the Watsü Mungdang to provide learning facilities and cater to the youth, particularly women. Among the proposals put forward are plans to incorporate a museum, library, and Watsü School of Culture and Training Centers within the center.
