Watsü Mungdang organizes bead works workshop in Mokokchung

Watsü Mungdang under its School of Culture organizing a two-day workshop on bead works at Aor Kilem,Sangtemla Ward, Mokokchung on 1 & 2 August 2024 with Chubalemla, Proprietor of Berem Jewelry as the resource person. On day one of the workshop, the resource person taught the participants how to make earrings while the participants will be taught how to make necklaces on day two.

The resource person highlighted the growing significance of jewelry making, particularly noting the rising popularity of fusion jewelry in the market. She said that Naga fusion jewelry is distinctive, bearing a unique Naga touch that only Nagas can impart. She encouraged participants to learn the art of jewelry making, not only for personal adornment but also as a potential source of income.
