The Press Information Bureau (PIB) Kohima, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, organized a press conference today to promote the upcoming World Audio-Visual & Entertainment Summit (WAVES) 2025, scheduled to take place in Mumbai from May 1 to 4.


Speaking at the Kohima Press Club, Assistant Director of PIB Kohima, K Sonikumar Singh, highlighted that WAVES 2025 will be a premier international platform for young creators, innovators, and stakeholders from across India and abroad to explore and showcase opportunities in the audio-visual and entertainment sector.

Singh emphasized that the summit will not only bring together entertainment industry leaders but also offer career opportunities, skill development programs, and global exposure for youth. He said WAVES 2025 will present India’s rich culture, heritage, and history through storytelling using modern technologies like AI, comics, animation, films, and social media.

Encouraging participation from Nagaland and the North East, Singh urged aspiring talents to use the platform to network with industry experts. He also called on local media to raise awareness about WAVES 2025 to ensure greater representation from the region’s dynamic creative community.
