The Women Entrepreneurs Network Nagaland (WENN) has organised a two-day hands-on skill development workshop on banana fibre crafts and jewellery making at its office in S and S Building, Bank Colony, Dimapur, equipping 40 women participants with practical skills to support sustainable livelihoods and entrepreneurship.

Expert-led sessions were conducted by Runway Nagaland, which provided training on banana fibre crafts, and Mixpick Enterprise Nagaland, which guided participants in jewellery-making techniques. Participants received hands-on training in the process of creating handicraft products from banana fibre as well as designing and assembling handmade jewellery.
The workshop was supported by the Community Microfinance and Credit programme of the Government of Nagaland and highlighted WENN’s focus on promoting economic independence, creativity, and skill development among women in the state.
By introducing innovative craft practices, the initiative is expected to create income-generating opportunities and encourage self-reliance among the participants.
