The Western Chakhesang Hoho held its official handing and taking over ceremony on 10 August 2024 at the Western Chakhesang Hoho building in Chakhesang Colony, Dimapur. The event marked the transition of leadership from the outgoing team to the new team, led by Dr. Chisoi Khesoh as President.
Outgoing President Mr. Kepfhelhou Koza submitted his official resignation letter, completing his tenure, along with all official documents and files. He expressed gratitude to the outgoing office bearers for their cooperation and selfless service to the community.
Dr. Timothy Lasuh, Pastor of Chakhesang Baptist Church, Dimapur Town, invoked God’s blessings for the new team. Dr. Chisoi Khesoh, the newly appointed President, thanked the outgoing team for their dedicated service and assured the continuation of community service in the interest of the people. He also requested the outgoing office bearers to continue their support for the new team.
The ceremony also included the nomination and approval of various committees. The Advisory Board members include Mr. Besesayo Kezo as Convenor, with Mr. Zekotso Mero and Mr. Kepfhelhou Koza, the former President, as members.
The Customary Mediation Board members include Mr. Yietshulhi Ngatsi, Vice President, as Convenor, along with Mr. Ariyi Nienu, Mr. Sovetso Vero, Mr. Virakholie Kapfo, and Mr. Nusazo Lohe as members. Additionally, Mr. Zashekhoyi Ringa, former General Secretary, and Mr. Ruyopoyi Nyekha were appointed as Representatives to the Chakhesang Public Organisation.
The new office bearers for the tenure 2024-2027 are:

– Secretary Publicity and Information: Mr. Nukuzo Vero
– Secretary, Social and Culture: Mr. Ngalounyi Rume
– Press Secretary: Mr. Lhikhro Kreo
