The Western Chakhesang Hoho (WCH) has expressed deep sorrow over the death of five women members of the Chümoukedima Ao Baptist Church (CABA), who lost their lives in a road accident at 10th Mile Road, Kohima, on January 31.
In a condolence message issued on February 2, the WCH said the tragic incident has cast a pall of grief over the bereaved families, the CABA congregation, and the wider Naga community.
The organization extended its heartfelt condolences to the families of the deceased, the Chümoukedima Ao Baptist Church, church leaders, Ao civil society organizations, and members of the Ao community.

Stating that the loss was irreplaceable, the WCH noted that the deceased women were pillars of faith, service, and strength within the church and society.
The Hoho also prayed for divine peace and strength for the bereaved families and for comfort and healing for all those affected by the tragedy.
